VMS Spot-On Pigment No. 18 Medium Old Rust is a lighter rust shade positioned between old and fresh rust. This colour helps introduce variation in rust effects and allows smoother blending between darker and lighter rust tones.

 

The pigment is ideal for representing gradual oxidation processes or rust in its intermediate stage. Combining multiple rust shades helps create more realistic and dynamic weathering on scale models.

 

When used on its own, the pigment works best over black or black metallic acrylic base coats. Depending on technique and binder used, different shades, coverage and intensity can be achieved.
