A dream for every advanced model builder and aviation history enthusiast.
The Zoukei-Mura SWS No.24 Ho 229 B brings one of the most mysterious and revolutionary aircraft designs from World War II to life in an impressive 1/32 scale. This is no standard model kit – it is a technical masterpiece in plastic and resin.
About the aircraft
The Horten Ho 229 was the first operational jet aircraft with a flying wing design. Developed by the Horten brothers for the Luftwaffe, this aircraft had no tail, no fuselage break – just pure aerodynamics. The aircraft was designed to be fast, manoeuvrable and possibly less visible on radar – far ahead of its time.
Some impressive facts:
- Powered by two Jumo 004B jet engines (the same as in the Me 262).
- A top speed of almost 980 km/h – unheard of at the time.
- Only a few prototypes were built before the end of the war – one of which can be seen today in the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum (USA).
About the kit
This 1/32 kit from Zoukei-Mura has been worked out in the smallest details:
- Complete interior: cockpit, engine compartment, landing gear and air brakes – everything is visible.
- Additional optional sets available (sold separately): metal cannons, radar antennas, 3D instrument panels, pilot figures and more.
- Includes detailed building instructions and decals.
For the serious builder
With a long parts list and high precision, this is not a kit for beginners – but it is a dream project for those who enjoy spending hours (or weeks!) immersed in an authentic, technical building experience.
Whether you build it as a display model or in a realistic diorama, the Ho 229 B is an absolute eye-catcher.
