Description
To compete in the highly competitive FIA Group 5 category, Porsche developed several racing versions based on the iconic 911 Turbo. Among them, the Porsche 935J “Baby” stands out as one of the most unique and compact variants, designed specifically for the German Deutsche Rennwagen Meisterschaft two-liter class.
The 935 Baby featured a heavily lightened chassis, reducing total weight to just 735 kg in compliance with regulations. Power came from an air-cooled 1,425 cc turbocharged engine delivering 261 kW, giving the car impressive performance. In 1977, the 935 Baby achieved a notable victory at Hockenheim, proving the sound engineering behind this remarkable racer.
This Italeri 1:24 scale model kit includes super decals and a full-color instruction sheet, accurately capturing the compact proportions and aggressive styling of this legendary Group 5 machine.
