Description
The Fiat 806 Grand Prix is a groundbreaking racing car from the interwar period and is widely regarded as the ancestor of modern Formula 1 cars. Designed and built by Fiat in 1927, it was the first true single-seater ever created specifically for Grand Prix racing.
Powered by a twelve-cylinder engine producing over 180 horsepower, the Fiat 806 was capable of exceeding 240 km/h, an extraordinary achievement for its time. Its innovative design also included a low, centrally mounted engine and gearbox positioned between the chassis rails, significantly improving balance and handling.
This Italeri 1:12 scale model kit is a technically sophisticated and highly detailed project. Featuring partially screw-assembled construction, opening engine covers, functional steering and a wide range of materials, it is a premium kit for experienced modelers and motorsport history enthusiasts.
