Description
The M978 Fuel Servicing Truck is part of the HEMTT (Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Truck) family, a series of heavy, high-mobility vehicles developed for the U.S. Army from the mid-1980s onwards. HEMTT vehicles are characterised by their eight-wheel drive configuration and strong off-road performance, allowing operation in extremely demanding environments.

Within the HEMTT range, the M978 Tanker was specifically designed for logistical support tasks. Thanks to its fuel tank with a capacity of over 9,500 litres, the vehicle is capable of transporting significant quantities of fuel. The M978 has been effectively used by the U.S. Army in various complex operational areas, including Iraq and Afghanistan.
