Description
During the German occupation in the Second World War, partisan forces played a key role in resistance activities. Although the various partisan groups were driven by different political ideals and motivations, they were united by a single objective: to contribute to the defeat of the German occupying forces.

 

Partisan operations varied widely and included intelligence gathering, support for Allied operations, and sabotage of enemy logistical infrastructure and communication networks. These irregular warfare activities significantly weakened German control in occupied territories.
